1. Open your web browser and type https://www.office.com into your URL bar. 

 

Click the white “Sign In” button, if you are not already you will be directed to sign in with your Student/Staff Email. 

 

The page will look something like below. 

 

  1. Once signed in you will be redirected to a page that looks something like the below. 

 

 

Click the “Install Office” tab and a dropdown will appear, click “Office 365 apps”.

For Windows a .exe installer will download, run the installer and follow the installation steps. Once complete open a Microsoft Office product and sign in with your student email. 

 

For MacOS a .pkg file will download, once downloaded, click the run the installer and follow the installation steps. Once complete open a Microsoft Office product and sign in with your student email. 

 

If you cannot see Office 365 apps and click “Other install options” and get the following message, please contact ICT Support. 

 

 



FAQS 

 

Q: The installer is taking ages to download! 

A: Download speeds are dependent on a few factors: 

  • How fast is your internet connection at home?  

  • How many people using the system at any one time? (if there are a lot of people attempting to download at the same time it will take longer).  

 

If the installer is talking longer than expected, please be patient and wait for the installation to finish. This process can take anything from 15-30 minutes. 

 

 

Q: My username is not working! 

A: Your username is in the following format: 

 

000000 – being your year of entry plus admission number 

i.e. 191234 

ABC – being your staff code

Q: My password has been reset, but I don’t know my current password! 

A: Your current password will be the password ICT Support have reset it to. You will then have to set the new one twice. 

 

Please note that the password must be at least 10 characters and contain capital and lowercase letters, symbols and numbers.
